Independent School

Nurse Association

of NYC

ISNA was created to give school nurses a place to share knowledge and tools to support each other in our practice. We are nurses that work at independent schools in New York City. We welcome participation from both new and experienced nurses.

Monthly meetings take place over secure Zoom calls. Meetings are recorded and shared with our members.   Meetings often include guest speakers who share relevant, evidence-based practices.

ISNA is an informal group; it has no affiliations. We use an email listserv to ask questions and address immediate issues. ISNA maintains a Google Drive with resources to assist members in their practice.

Mission

ISNA provides our metropolitan area's independent, private and parochial school nurses with opportunities to establish, maintain and develop their nursing practice through ongoing education, consultation, and support.

Community

Regular ISNA meetings will be held during the school year on a monthly basis.

Open Membership

Membership shall be open to full time, part time, substitute and retired professional school nurses.
