Independent School

Nurse Association

of NYC

The Independent School Nurses Association (ISNA) was created to provide a collaborative space where school nurses in New York City can share knowledge, tools, and support for one another. We serve nurses working in independent schools, welcoming both seasoned and new professionals to participate.

Our monthly meetings follow a hybrid format, offering both in-person and Zoom options. Zoom meetings are recorded and made available to all members. We often feature guest speakers who present on relevant, evidence-based practices to enhance our professional growth.

ISNA is an informal, unaffiliated group, utilizing an email listserv for quick communication and immediate problem-solving. Additionally, we maintain a comprehensive Google Drive filled with resources to support members in their daily practice.

Mission

ISNA provides our metropolitan area's independent, private and parochial school nurses with opportunities to establish, maintain and develop their nursing practice through ongoing education, consultation, and support.

Community

Regular ISNA meetings will be held during the school year on a monthly basis.

Open Membership

Membership shall be open to full time, part time, substitute and retired professional school nurses.
